| Name: Scott Finnegan
Ha ha, Scottie Finnegan. Scott’s bowling action has, at times, been compared to legendary England No. 11 Alan Mullally, however Scott’s actual delivery regularly comes out slower than an Eddie Hemmings off-break. Scott is another stalwart of the club, playing in all levels since the early 1990’s, making his name in the 2nds, Sunday and Midweek XI’s. He has also had a few First XI outings too. Going back to 1994, Scott made his First team debut at the tender age of 16. Sent in at number 11, (Che was promoted that week), to save the game. The instructions to Scott from Roger Lord was to get the front foot forward and block out the final two overs and hang on for the draw. Scott belted his first ball through extra cover for four and Cheddar hung on! Scottie has recently returned to Cheddar from London where he has been policing the streets. All at the club hope he will be able to regularly turn out for us once more!
