Cheddar Cricket Club
Luke Parfitt
Name: Luke Parfitt

Luke has developed himself over the last three years into becoming one of the Somerset Leagues finest fast bowlers, taking over 40 wickets last campaign. He is a huge asset to Cheddar Cricket Club and is part of a whole host of homegrown talent Cheddar is fortunate to have. Another who has risen through the ranks, representing Cheddar at all levels, including the infamous junior side of the late 1990’s, which swept everything before them.
Luke took over as First XI Captain two years ago and the team enjoyed promotion to the highest standard it has ever competed at, finishing mid-table in their first season last year. A very satisfying achievement.
Another one not to rest on his laurels, Luke will be keen as mustard to push on from that and try to motivate his army again during 2005 and push his team week in, week out. Away from the first team, Luke does a heck of a lot within the club too. He coaches junior sides, helps maintain the pitch and above all, adds a whole new dimension into the running of the club. Let’s hope he, and the team, can go from strength to strength this season.
