James ‘Ill Get You’ Buttler is a very talented batsman and is the player to watch this season. He has a great eye and sense of timing and has improved dramatically over the past two seasons. Playing hockey during the winter maintains his hand/eye co-ordination which takes him into his cricket. A seemingly ever-present grin and accompanying good nature has surprisingly not been corrupted at Cardiff University over the last couple of years, although the odd drunken phone call or text message is exchanged at 3am some mornings. Weighing in at what seems 8 stone dripping wet, the poor student’s junk food diet has not yet taken effect on James – much to Che and Mike Sims’ annoyance!
