| Name: Gareth Humberstone
Gareth Humberstone, one of the unsung heroes of the Mighty Thirds from last season. It was only by chance that he is playing now, as his skipper saw him in a local petrol station and he was short of players that week. Since that moment, Humby hasn’t looked back. When he manages to pitch the ball up, his nippy left-armers are a handful for the most experienced batsman.
He was very unlucky bowling last season, no more than the away trip to Wincanton where he deserved a 5-fer. His batting has developed and he has the correct attitude to bat at the top or at number 6/7 where he can throw the bat towards the end of an innings. He is going to be a useful cricketer with whoever he plays for this season.
