Cheddar U15 (86 for 5 wkts) lost to Blagdon U15 (89 for 3) by 7 wickets

After a month without a game Cheddar put in a fighting performance on a difficult pitch on the first pleasant summer evening. Steady batting by Ollie Pearce and Danny Griffiths and a quickfire innings from John Edwards ensured a challenging target was set to the home side after being 4 for 2 at the start of the innings. 5 tight overs from Adam Crummy and good support from Liam Young (who took 2 wickets with successive deliveries) and Amad Ahmed ensured Blagdon were behind the run rate. But Cheddar failed to take their chances and the winning runs came from the last ball of the 19th over.
